Republicans for years have tried to pass laws to end prevailing-wage laws, which require government funded projects to pay a certain wage to meet industry standards in an area. (3,709 posts)and these people are an embarrassment. A bunch of pasty white boys who could care less about the plight of the poor, the unemployed, the sick. All they care about is controlling women and putting the poor in their place.
Republicans representatives and state senators in Kentucky are no different from the same vile Republicans serving in state house across the country. No state has a monopoly on these crazed people. Our society is incredibility dysfunctional and until we can turn our attention to the real needs of the people, we are at the mercy of these idiots should they gain control of government.
I am so thankful Steve Beshear has been governor these last few years... a voice of reason in this state.

I'm hoping the good people of Kentucky are sick and tired of this GOP smoke and mirrors B.S. I think the KY GOP is running scared because Alison Lunderson Grimes looks as if she could kick Mitch to the curb. And when Repukes are backed into a corner, they inevitably drag out that broken record about abortion, gays, et al. That's all they've got, rather than real solutions to real problems.
