Limbaugh: Straight People Are 'Under Assault By The 2-5 Percent That Are Homosexual'

More than 12 meandering minutes later, it's still difficult to make sense of what Rush Limbaugh was trying to say about Michael Sam on Tuesday.

Limbaugh spent the first seven minutes of a largely incoherent monologue focusing on the media's treatment of Sam, the All-American defensive end who could well be the NFL's first openly gay player. "This is going to be a totally media-driven story," Limbaugh declared. "Totally." But things turned strange shortly after the seven-minute mark of Limbaugh's rant.

"Why is homosexuality political?" Limbaugh asked, without a shred of irony. "Why is there a political aspect to or agenda associated with homosexuality?" Moreover, who's looking out for straight guys like Limbaugh, who have "no activists" looking out for them.

"Heteros--you say heterosexuality may be 95, 98 percent of the population -- they're under assault by the two to five percent that are homosexual," Limbaugh said. "So why -- I'm just asking, I'm just throwing it out there -- why is there a political agenda attached to and driven by homosexuality and there is no corresponding heterosexual agenda?"

I mean seriously. Have you guys ever noticed that the ones most afraid of "the gays" are the most ugliest people on the planet.
