If that were the case, then the US sanctions on Cuba would have ended long ago.

in "creating jobs through their investments in Cuba". And that may not go over well in some circles. I can hear "Why aren't these investments being made in the US instead of in Cuba which exports it's products to the US?"

The embargo is stupid and we should respect the independence of the Cuban people. Bernie's heart and head are in the right place. I hope that he and other liberals are successful in dismantling the embargo in the near future.
