"There is no connection between our Chattanooga employees' decision about whether to be represented by a union and the decision about where to build a new product for the U.S. market," said Frank Fischer, chairman and chief executive officer of Volkswagen Chattanooga.

I am glad Fischer spoke up to counter Corker's lie. We all know the media certainly won't do a damn thing to point out or correct a lying right winger.

think is that he knows the Chattanooga plant is going to get the second vehicle line no matter what. He tried to use fear to get what HE wanted, not what the company or the workers wanted. Either way, they'll likely get the second line. That's the only way Corker can get away with it. He tried to scare them into thinking if they went union (work council) the work would go to Mexico. I think the plant in Mexico has a work council anyway. Despicable him.

As is evidenced over and over and over.
