Bush, their next candidate would be a sweaty gym sock.

Then they picked Palin to be their VP candidate, which was a couple of notches below the sock.

She got HUGE laughs by precisely mimicking a Palin interview appearance - same words, same gestures, same outfit, same everything. No writers involved. The audience roared.

As you said, the trouble with trying to mock or parody today's right-wing nutjobs is that any crazy thing you can think of to claim they are saying always turns out to be something they actually ARE saying. The Tina Fey approach is all that's left.

call it capitalism and they will defend it to their death, no matter if, in practice, the rules and wealth distribution are such that it looks identical to monarchy or feudalism.

Everyone else gets 1% of the GDP and also pays 5% in taxes.

That 1 guy would be paying 99% of all revenue and Rush Limbaugh et al would still be arguing his tax rate was too damn high.

When talking to right-wingers they always say that they have no problem with the rich making themselves richer because "someday", through all their hard work, they too will be among the moneyed elite. Yes indeed they have bought into the "work hard & you'll be rich" meme that is peddled by Faux News and all the Talk radio pundits. They're too stupid to see it's not true of course so they keep working for $8 an hour at WalMart and keep telling themselves that this is temporary and soon they will start their own businesses and will be raking in the dough. So why would they want higher taxes on the rich when they too will be rich someday? Their is a term for such people. It's "useful idiots."

The lottery mentality is helping ruining out nation, as much as people who can't or won't grasp the real reality of today.

Each gilded age has ended, maybe this will too. However this is a different age where manipulating enough people is easier.

All of it sometimes makes me want to go all "Network" Peter Finch and yell out my window. Time to wake up stragglers, and correctly deduce who us really screwing you over.

Re-Branded Feudalism, which all three well-funded parties seem to be down with in 2014 . . . it's a zero-sum game. You're simply KIDDING yourself if you think it isn't.

Oh, and no one's going to revolt in a country where 57 million people think "President Sarah Palin" is a great idea. Almost as many thought "President Mitt Romney" was a great idea.

It's so obvious that the system doesn't work for the vast majority of hard-working, honest people anymore (if it ever did.)

What's more, it's becoming increasingly obvious that the "winners" aren't the hardest workers, but the biggest crooks.

As I said, almost everyone knows this now. Even many Repugs know this in their hearts to be true. We are at the tipping point.

&feature=youtu.be

There's a stranger in your home
Can't you hear them rattlin bones
He's scratchin around in your closets and your drawers
The police know he's there
But they just don't seem to care
Take all you got and then come back for more

Wants your time, he wants your wealth
He'll slap a price tag on your health
He don't give a damn if you're sick and lame
He wants your bling, he wants your blang
He wants your kids to join his gang
Soon enough they too will call his name
(they call him)

Big money, he's breakin in
Big money, got your next of kin
Big money, he'll leave you cryin
All he cares about is the bottom line

He wants your lid, he wants your pot
He wants to slap a condo on that lot
You gotta bring the coin if you intend to play
His favorite hobby is finding takers
Out in the lobby with the movers and the shakers
The more you got, the more you get to say
*it's right there in the 1st Amendment*

Big money, a man has a price
Big money, your loot or your life
Big money, tells you bizness is thrivin'
Meanwhile we're out dumpster divin'

Hell yes! He holds the cards
He's stickin' signs out in your yard
Politicians cream when he come by
Collecting tithes, accepting alms
Dishing bribes and greasing palms
He don't ever hear the people cry

They're crying
BIG MONEY
