Tea Party to Mitch McConnell: Drop Out of Senate Race or Alison Lundergan Grimes Will Win!

Bob Cull
February 18, 2014

The United Kentucky Tea Party has demanded that Mitch McConnell drop his reelection bid, telling him that if he doesn’t, Alison Lundergan Grimes will win the seat in November. They want him to make way for their candidate Matt Bevin, citing his vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling as the final nail in his political coffin as far as the voters in Kentucky are concerned.

“Senator McConnell’s recent vote with Harry Reid to hand President Obama a blank check for the next year has further degraded his support in Kentucky,” said a spokesman for the group.

It was the decision by McConnell and Senate minority whip John Cornyn (R-TX) to change their votes, emboldening four other Republican Senators to change their votes to yes on the clean debt ceiling bill. The bill was passed in the House due to the inability of Republicans there to agree on a bill with strings attached preventing a filibuster by Ted Cruz (R-TX) and averting another disastrous government shutdown.

The move was not at all popular with the Tea party fringe who refuse to believe that a default by the U.S. on its debt obligations would precipitate a world wide economic collapse. They have vowed to remove all Republicans who voted with the Democrats to pass the bill.

They do not own this country.

Proof positive that the Teabaggers are a lying bunch of pig-fuckers. The debt ceiling vote didn't provide one red cent toward next year. It only allows the Government for pay the bills that they have already rung up.
DAMN, but I despise those bastards!

He should know the GOP inside and out and what to expect from them.
Personally, I think putting a relative newbie in the game is a losing proposition.

10. The Wing-Nutz Are Running Their Scam Again

The righ wing-nutz are running their scam again. The way it works is for the right-wingers to challenge an unpopular Republican facing a tough general election, then either primary the guy or gal and/or stay home in the general election.

After the Republican politician gets thrown out of office, the right wing-nutz then turn around and claim that the Republican pol lost because he/she "wasn't conservative enough."

It's a very effective scam, just as effective in its way as the pigeon drop or the badger game. Republican pols, most of which lack nerve or a firm grasp of reality, fail to see how they've been played and tack further and further to the right in order to avoid defeat.

At this point there is no hope of any GOPster pol ever wising up.

There is only one cure the voters have. It's a simple barn-burner cure. But it's an effective one.

Just. Don't. Vote. Republican. Ever.

I think they might actually have a better shot if they ran somebody even more pure and nuttier than McTurtle. The reason why is nobody likes him anymore. Not even his own base is showing him much love, according to the polls. If they got someone in there who could better energize the RWNJ base, I think that person might have a better shot of keeping that seat red.

want to see the U.S. default? They are trying as hard as they can and spending big money to cause a default, but why? How do they benefit?

Thanks in advance to all who make the effort to help with this.
