The Gilded Age

in the late 1800's marked by growth and poverty, excess and want, the few rich and the many poor, social awareness and social indifference.

And now we have "the annual black-tie induction ceremony of a secret Wall Street fraternity called Kappa Beta Phi." Where the inductees are dressed in sequins and wigs, where the liberals are mocked and the rich just let themselves be themselves.

If posted earlier, apologies- but this article really defines this group. Love the part where the reporter is promised bribes if he just forgot what he'd seen and not report on it.
