since I can remember. It was easier to take sides when the Soviet Union was around. We could hate those commies with impunity. Now it's not so easy to figure out where the fault lies. I think the Ukrainians were presented a damned if you and damned if you don't situation. Do you put your fortune in the hands of the Russians or the EU? Neither is a good choice IMHO.

The "bad guys" are the ones who take violent direct action to overrule the people who defeated them at the ballot box. Unless you think teabaggers should be encouraged to take up arms against the federal government, that is.

Ukraine has 45 million mostly poor people. They are currently in the Russian sphere. Putting them into the EU sphere would....
