Dixie Chicks said something about Bush, and a lot of gap-tooth hillbillies (today, they are called tea-baggers) crushed a bunch of Dixie Chick CD's in front of their local China-Mart in front of TV news cameras?
WHERE IS THE LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE OUTRAGE FROM THE NUGENT COMMENT?
WHY ARE WE LEAVING IT UP TO CORPORATE NEWS MEDIA?
WHERE ARE OUR GROUPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS, CRUSHING SOME NUGENT CD'S IN FRONT OF CAMERAS?

(2,795 posts)repubs/conservatives are easily provoked and easily outraged. It doesn't take much at all to get them worked up. Then you have tens of thousands of media markets with the provokers talking and pushing the outrage.
dems/liberals tend not to have spontaneous outrage. Sure we get mad about stuff but I think we also see Ted Nugent for who he is. Only the knuckle draggiest of knuckle draggers listen to Ted. The other 80-90% of the population rolls their eyes and thinks he's a paranoid pant shitting lunatic. He's nobody. And not that the Dixie Chicks are nobodies, but they are entertainers and what they said should not have gotten that kind of response. They're singers that's all. But it gave the mouth breathers something to do and anger at least is an emotion. Maybe it's better to feel that than nothing at all in their small, paranoid little lives.
