I am very glad that your relationships in the real world are more complex than those on a discussion board.

Isn't your relationship with men in the real world different than your relationship here with men? I would hope so. Why no emphasis on that?

I am not trying to call you out on some great offense. Please don't take it that way. Its just that your op pulls out a specific group when all of your relationships from online into the real world are much different.

Many ops about this topic are simply callouts, one way or another, or just flame bait. Without knowing if there are any other intentions behind your op, I find the manner in which people interact in their real lives with people compared to an online discussion board to be very interesting. Only mentioning it with respect to women might get you a couple more views or comments, but I know your interactions are different with both sexes. We would all be better to evaluate how we change with respect to our online persona.

Hell, even that might be a chore. Every show would be criticized, every song grittier than B-I-N-G-O was his name-o would be trashed. And so on.

if the most vocal individuals are also similarly tortured in RL by all of the "isms" they rail against here at DU.

Seriously, are they running around in the real world dissecting every single conversation and interaction, looking for reasons to be offended?

In any case, I'm also thankful that my real world relations with the opposite sex are not boiling over (or even simmering) with drama.
