Genius Girl Scout sells cookies outside pot club

It all boils down to one of the first rules of business: know your customer.

Girl Scout Danielle Lei, 13, knew exactly what her customers wanted when she set up her cookie table outside of the Green Cross, a medical marijuana dispensary in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood.

“They get very hungry after!” she told the East Bay Express.

Very hungry indeed. Within 45 minutes, Danielle sold out of cookies.

One of the more popular strains in the bay area is "girl scout cookies".

Proceeds are going Alzheimer’s related charitable causes instead of drug lords. We can't have that.

really wide... How cool is this:

"Girl Scouts of Northern California said it all comes down to what the parents are comfortable doing. Carol Lei, Danielle’s mother, said she has no problem with her daughter selling in front of the Green Cross.

In fact, due to popular demand, Danielle will be back with her cookies on Saturday, according to the dispensary.

“Half the proceeds will go toward Alzheimer’s related charitable causes,” Green Cross posted on its Facebook page. “Cookies, cannabis and charities, what more can you ask for!?”

Carol said her two middle-school-aged daughters have sold Girl Scout cookies outside a medical marijuana clinic before, though this was the first time they stopped by The Green Cross. She usually has them set up shop at various points around San Francisco so they can learn about different environments while earning some cash. Plus, Carol figured this might be a good way to start a conversation about drugs and how some use marijuana as medicine while others just get high.

"You put it in terms that they may understand," Carol said. "I'm not condoning it, I'm not saying go out in the streets and take marijuana ... It also adds a little bit of cool factor. I can be a cool parent for a little bit."

Girl Scouts of Northern California don't have a problem with it.

"Girls are selling cookies, and they and their parents pick out places where they can make good sales," Dana Allen, director of marketing and communications for Girl Scouts of Northern California, told Mashable. "The mom decided this was a place she was comfortable with her daughter being at." Later, she added, "We're not telling people where they can and can't go if it's a legitimate business."

In fact, The Green Cross has welcomed them back this Saturday, Feb. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m., when Danielle will satisfy the cookie cravings of many more.

industrious girls in front of my local grocery store yesterday.

Totally nar nar shit, I highly recommend it. I should have bought more. I will on Monday.

A half pound of any Girl Scout Cookie strain makes a great gift to anyone, and giving the gift of Girl Scout Cookies is a strong indicator to everyone that you really are the person who your dog thinks you are.

Ross broke a little girl's leg in an accident, so she couldn't sell her cookies to win a trip to space camp. He agreed to sell them for her. His strategy was to hit the NYU dorms at midnight. And it almost worked -- until another girl in the troop took her cookies to Fleet Week.

this thread in prison.

Really, it's the only true progressive thing to do.

DU should be ashamed that it endorses wanton hedonism instead of people-friendly policies like mass incarcerations of pot smokers and girl scouts.
