who doesn't believe just as they do. After all, they see it as their gawd given right and they'll claim persecution if they don't get their way.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me

so 'Moslems' and atheists are protected by law, right now, while LGBT people, right now, can be fired for being gay in 29 of the most religious and conservative States.

... but according to the way some of these new state laws are being written, I think it's quite possible. Actually, I hope to hell they could be interpreted that way because that -- more than discrimination against LGBTs -- would insure these laws would get tossed out by the courts, and fast. Let these laws work against the rights of the bigots, let them see how that shoe fits.

Read through the extremist's screed on how their interpretation of the Bible actually supports discrimination... all manner of discrimination, including that against people of other faiths. We can suppose by this logic that it wouldn't be long before religious fundamentalists would turn on one another in which case, these new "states rights" bigot bills would soon vanish, much sooner than they would if the bills were limited only to discrimination against LGBTs. Once you open the floodgates to discriminate, you can't pick and choose just one glass of water to drink. You'll eventually drown in your own folly.

while it does no such thing for LGBT, nor does any other Federal law. Today's reality is that religious people have passed a law allowing discrimination against gay people. There are no Federal protections for LGBT people. It is a law made by religious straights to harm LGBT people of faith and of no faith.
