Well...not exactly. It was a typical Repub sort of apology:
CNN) - Conservative activist and rocker Ted Nugent apologized Friday for using the term "subhuman mongrel" to describe President Barack Obama.
"I do apologizenot necessarily to the Presidentbut on behalf of much better men than myself," he said in an interview with conservative radio host Ben Ferguson, who's also a CNN political commentator
Texas attorney general Greg Abbott, the likely GOP gubernatorial nominee this year, came under heavy criticism from Democrats this week for campaigning with Nugent, who's known for making outlandish comments about the President.
Nugent said he apologizes "for using the streetfighter terminology of 'subhuman mongrel' instead of just using more understandable language, such as 'violator of his oath to the Constitution'."

Once again, Abbott is giving Texas voters reason to doubt him. -- Dallas Morning News Editorial
Dear -------
It's your turn, Greg Abbott.
Last night, Governor Rick Perry said, "I have a problem" with Ted Nugent calling the President a "subhuman mongrel."
Senator Rand Paul tweeted, Ted Nugent's derogatory description of President Obama is offensive and has no place in politics. He should apologize.
Ted Cruz said he didnt agree with Ted Nugents sentiments, You've never heard me say such a thing, nor would I."
And just moments ago, Ted Nugent finally apologized to the President for his disgusting remarks.
Greg Abbott, it's time to admit you made a mistake and apologize to the people of Texas.
Republicans are feeling the heat, and we can't back down now....
Thank you --

P.S. Its your voice -- your tweets, your posts, and your emails -- that put the pressure on Ted Nugent to apologize. Show Greg Abbott that its his turn. ....
I agree that Greg needs to apologize

Nugent: "I do apologizenot necessarily to the Presidentbut on behalf of much better men than myself."
No, Nugent did not apologize to President Obama. No surprise, I wasn't expecting one.
