I have a really good idea: Let's make vote tampering and poll interference a class 1 felony

and see which party fights against it the hardest.

Republicans are always wanting to push these voter ID laws that eliminate people who have trouble getting around, and who are old and poor. Let's make checking software of voting machines and CENTRAL TABULATORS a priority, with forensic computer software checkers (I'm sure software could be developed that runs a check on every computer), a national priority, and just see who screams "Oh! That's too expensive! Government can't do it! It will be like Obamacare!!"

We know who the party is that would nix the protections in the bud.

Of all of our basic rights, voting should be the first on the list of things to protect.

Then, with evidence of what happened in Ohio (and a few other states) during the bush years, we would have locked up KKKarl Rove a long damn time ago. Now Walker and his thugs.

Let's require paper ballots everywhere and results auditing. Coyotl Feb 2014 #1

Whatever happened to that law? Why are the Republicans immune from prosecution? I already know the answer , of course.

Some states allow their elected officials to habitually mess with their ability to vote and have that vote counted. It is up to those states to choose how to run their elections, and till now people don't seem to care. The good news is that some stories about individual state's attempts at voter suppression are occurring now, rather than on election day. I hope they can pressure their state governments' to do the right thing.

They know their guys won't prosecute them, and neither will ours, even when we should.

And as long as republicans win, they get their own judges. Well, that is until the DLC/NDN/New Wave democrats infiltrated from the republican party into the democratic party. Now, the democrats pick judges that would have been considered right wing republicans during the Nixon years.

I have tried to get my reps and senators to address this to no avail. It's them that have to do it. We need an email, voicemail, and letter writing campaign from everyone across the nation to bring this up to them and make them put it on their agendas at every level from local to national.
