Grandma Lavinia Needs You to Call Wells Fargo Now! (please share with friends)

Call Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf at (415) 396-7018!

Tell him: "My name is ______ and I am calling from ____.

I want you to stop the Sheriff's Sale of Lavinia Curry's home in Irvington, NJ and negotiate a deal with her that will keep her and her family in their home!"

Paulette McQueen and her mother Grandma Lavinia missed ONE mortgage payment in 2010 and immediately went the following month to pay the missed payment - but Wells Fargo REFUSED their money and started the foreclosure mill.

Despite having the money to pay their mortgage Wells Fargo listed Paulette and Lavinia's home for Sheriff's Sale for March 25th!

Call Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf to stop the foreclosure, and demand that they work out a deal that keeps Paulette and Lavinia in their home.

It’s time for Wells Fargo to start providing principal reduction and real solutions that restore community wealth and keep families in their homes!

My name is Paulette McQueen. I lived all my life in Newark, NJ until 2003, when my sisters and I helped buy a house for our mother, Lavinia Curry, in a quiet neighborhood in nearby Irvington. It was my mom’s dream to own a home and we were delighted to be able to fulfill it - finally!

Now, four generations of our family call this house a home. We’ve grown deep roots on this block full of mostly seniors and working people. In our home, there have been two babies born, a baptism, neighborhood cookouts, and even a birthday block party for one of the kids. Because of this home, we as a family are all able to be together, allowing us to take care of our mom as she ages and begins to show signs of dementia.

We all have worked hard to contribute to the mortgage and other bills and for seven years we never missed a payment. In 2010 we missed one month’s payment, but the following month we went to Wells Fargo in person with two payments in full - and the bank refused to accept it. We had the money to bring our mortgage current, but the bank would not take it!

For the past three years I have tried in good faith to fix this problem. I’ve been to housing counselors and submitted paperwork numerous times trying to work out a deal with Wells Fargo. All of that was for nothing, since the foreclosure was recently final. But you, Mr. Stumpf, have the power to keep my elderly mother in her dream home and keep our family together.

Stop the devastation this foreclosure would have on our family and our community. Stop the sheriff sale and give us a mortgage at current market value with a fixed, low interest rate. We love our home. We love our community. We want nothing more than to make sure our mother lives out her years with dignity and respect in the place our family calls ‘home".

without knowing the particulars of the mortgage though it's impossible to say more-except this is morally wrong

We also lost our house to Wells Fargo - under much the same circumstance - and were basically forced into bankruptcy.

Fun and games for everyone.
