WOO HOO first story on Rachel Maddow tonight is about the PMRC Hearings and Frank's exchange with Senator Paula Hawkins. Pity the foolish politician that try's to match wits with Frank Zappa!
Franks been my hero for over forty years, so this really makes me happy.
Our Democracy needs a public figure like FZ. A smart guy who loved to speak truth to power every chance he could. Fearlessly.

(20,606 posts)It got way less publicity, but had some great moments.
At one point, he talked about attending a party the previous evening and meeting all the Reps.
He said something like "It was nice meeting you at the party and I was amazed at how many of you told me this bill was ridiculous. And some of you even wrote me notes expressing it." And with that, he pulled out the notes and read them aloud.
The whole thing was a farce and he handled it brilliantly.
