(40,416 posts)By simply doing nothing. That, IMHO, would be a worst case scenerio. Not likely, but that governor is a bit of a wild card.

(114,904 posts)said she should. NO way she was going to sign it or let it become law under the extant circumstances.

(146,288 posts)Lots of posturing going on by right wing Republicans, and stupid bills like this one are being introduced everywhere by them. Expect much more of this during the run-up to the election.
Positioning themselves for an election campaign is standard practice for these morons. They don't really care whether the bill is passed or nor, or whether a Governor vetoes it. They just want their name on it for their teabagger constituents to see.

(3,539 posts)She will veto the bill but not for the right reason, she will veto it because of the almighty dollar. Groups who were planning conventions in the state and the possible loss of the Super Bowl.

(5,624 posts)this was just about local bigots trying to rack up publicity in an election year.
I suspect the similar law in GA will suffer the same fate. Sound and fury, signifying nothing.

(38,187 posts)That would be nice if the adults would take over and veto more often when legislators go on their anti-gay legislating binges.

(13,305 posts)They go their hard right/tea party/crazy cred by being able to say "We voted for it!" but then when it's vetoed they don't get any of the blame and it doesn't go against their right wing ratings.

(15,189 posts)There wasn't so much backlash. I "almost" hope she does sign it. Let's see what happens. Arizona is crazy enough. If not Arizona, I'm sure some other Red state will try this.
