We all took turns buying food and supplies. They all got thrown out when the house was sold...found original bottled Coke. If we had been attacked it probably wouldn't have saved us...but it gave us peace of mind. It sure was a waste of money though!

Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank. It will give you some insights into what to expect in a hot nuclear war. Me personally, if it comes to that, I hope it's painless and quick. I wouldn't want the slow awful death of radiation poisoning.

Here's some things to stock in you shelter:
1. salt
2. water
3. food
4. a person skilled in primitive food growing, gathering and preservation.
5. pins, needles, thread, yarn and a loom
6. person skilled in using #5 who can also tan skins.
7. an a whole host of other stuff.
8. and don't forget good bound books for reference as digital media will die pretty quick- instantly for anything stored in the nebulous cloud.
