moves troops in to protect sympathetic minorities a la the Russian precedent. After occupying significant territory in Ukraine for a period of time, Russia decides Polish troops are not welcome and moves to evict them.
Question: At this point, does Poland qualify for NATO Article V protection?

Seems like something we should get straight right now: When does Article V kick in?

(1,494 posts)There remains no obligation under article v to come to the aid of an aggressor.... would depend on what definition NATO choices to label whatever action they would take.

That said. I have yet to find the evidence of those forces actually mobilizing. Nope, the two articles so far linked to, have none of that mobilization nonsense in the body of the piece. Mind you, Poles have legitimate reasons to fear the Russians invading POLAND... now in that case Art V does apply.
I wonder how many people here who are hot for one, are going to go see the recruiter in the morning though?
