I imagine they would be like Queen Victoria, who couldn't even wrap her mind around the concept of lesbianism and refused to believe they even existed.

I'm a big fan of satire, but not when it endangers innocent lives. I hope this satire doesn't have some awful repercussions.

This article from a pretty small site is dwarfed by the lists of "known homosexuals" printed in at least one of the newspapers there.

The awful repercussions come from enshrining bigotry into law and the people taking the law into their own hands in support of it.
