Anyone really believe that Clinton and her staff did not think someone would be taping her remarks

in Cali. yesterday... Today she walked them back... I say Boom!!!!..She’s definitely running for sure.
Brilliantly over the top yesterday to appease those righties who insist she’s a stand down girl...then comes back and tones it down almost professorily today..

Ah, ya can’t fool a Corleone... Magnificently played Hillary..

Like what voters are gonna ditch her because of her statement comparing Hitler’s actions to Putin’s rhetoric.. But I’ll tell ya this; middle of the road low informed voters who think Dems. are not strong enough on National Security issue probably will raise an eyebrow at her misspoken sentence..

about and you think it was planned so she appeal to them, either way, it wouldn't surprise me. She fully supports Bush/Cheney's policies, even proved herself enough to the war mongers that Rupert Murdoch threw her a party. If she wants to appeal to Republicans why not become one, but don't expect Democrats to be stupid enough to buy any more deceptions from those asking for our votes. We are so sick of political games. Just tell the TRUTH, people are STARVING for it.

The analogy Hillary used is the same one used by the former Czech foreign minister. The Czech should know, they were the ones that the Nazis invaded.

Here's the problem as you seem to not understand. If you choose to lecture other people about something, let's for the sake of argument say you are a well known thief, then you lecture other people about theft, do you think that reasonable people are going to give your lectures any credibility at all? Or will they just point the finger back at you, since they can? You realize this has happened already on several occasions?

I care about this country. I feel incredibly sad about our loss of credibility and moral authority due to the actions of a few people. I don't know about you but imo, anyone who cares about their country strives to make it the best that it can be. And imo, Republicans have destroyed the image of America over the past decade and I was hoping Democrats would be the ones to let the world know they do not represent our values.

We have the potential to do so much good in the world, yet all we are known for now are our illegal invasions, torture, abandonment of the rule of law when it comes to war crimes etc. Is that the image we want?

we happen to agree on this issue BUT, do you expect to get the answer to your question on DU? Have you personally written Secretary Clinton and asked her the question or, do you have a friend/acquaintance in the media who could ask her the question?

you about it, it didn't happen? Do you think the world doesn't know about the invasion of Iraq so when one of our Reps rail against invading other countries, if no one asks them about their own invasions, everyone will forget what they have done?

That's a whole new standard of ethics I had not heard of before.

Back when she cast her vote for Bush's war, you can bet she heard from millions of people letting her know what they though of it. I don't believe we ever got an answer that made any sense from her.

Remember the Egyptians protesting against the Dictator, our ally btw, Mubarak, when he finally left office? And they THOUGHT they were free? They asked the US NOT to interfere in their country because 'we do not want America's 'democracy' like in Iraq'. When Hillary Clinton went to Egypt, they asked her to leave BECAUSE of our illegal interventions in other people's countries.

And every time someone in a position of power here lectures anyone else about the 'crime' of invading other countries, I don't have to 'ask them about it'. All over the world, in publications, on television, radio and elsewhere, people immediately point out that WE are guilty of exactly what we are preaching others about.

Eg, the Chinese Govt has struck back at our State Dept who has taken it upon themselves to judge other countries on human rights issues. Each time they have mentioned China, that country has released a list of our own Human Rights abuses.

Don't worry about ME asking, millions of people are doing so all over the world.

I asked you a simple question, it doesn't require a long winded, condescending response. I've asked three columnists, one of whom is a friend of the Clinton family, to ask her the question. I doubt all three will get an answer but, I know the family friend will.

BTW, exactly how do you know "millions of people are" asking the question? I doubt there are millions but, please continue.

This is all dog-and-pony shit for her upcoming presidential run -- trying to remain relevant and all that. And who is she trying to appease? Why, the right-wing, of course. Personally, I don't think it was brilliant, I think it was Politics 101 -- first day in class kinda stuff.
