In a place mostly used for discussion and commentary about an online game:
I don't know where and how to scream to be heard, but I can't remain silent anymore. I want to specify my position about situation at Ukraine.
Personally I strongly disapprove behavior of my government. I disapprove that Russia have covered Yanukovich, I disapprove that Russia offered former Berkut members Russian citizenship, and of course I disapprove the deployment of Russian troops to Ukraine.
I'm ashamed for my country. Forgive me.
I know how him and the other Russians feel. We've been through this as well.

(22,000 posts)But yet I have to skeptically wonder how much it will matter. Most of us at DU opposed the war in Iraq and yet it was still waged (to be clear I was not on DU at the time and was a lurker between 2006-2008). The sad thing is that if Putin wants to invade, he will. There's not a hell of a lot anyone can do to stop him.

Since some 70+ Russians are against Putin's invasion, it's clear and cut that his actions are against the wishes of Russians.
