<snip>
In an unusual Wednesday letter, former long-shot presidential candidate Nader urged potential future long-shot presidential candidate Sanders to change the way he does business in the Senate and fulfill his unfulfilled potential.
You are a Lone Ranger, unable even to form a core progressive force within the Senate, Nader wrote the Vermont independent. Without internal and external networking, there are no strategies to deploy, beyond speechifying, putting forward amendments that go nowhere and an occasional hearing where you incisively question witnesses.

(17,195 posts)In fairness, from the part abstracted, he does make a good point: Bernie is articulate and has a lot of supporters, but what kind of machinery does he have in place, or what plan for assembling such machinery?

(62,270 posts)You must not have been around when Nader predicted some miraculous challenger from the left.
I wish I had what he was drinking when he said that shit.
edit: here cali, so you can be your usual dismissive self, this is what I was referring to: http://dailycaller.com/2011/08/04/nader-almost-100-percent-chance-of-a-democratic-primary-challenger-to-obama/
enjoy insulting and overall being dismissive of me without appreciating my original comment to you!

(24,544 posts)I think Nader may have been insulted by Sanders calling any attempt to run as an independent "the Nader effect."
An independent to the left of most Senate Democrats that he caucuses with, Sanders said hes wary of running for president as an independent because it could help Republicans. In fact, he called it the Nader dilemma.
So, people can learn after all.
I actually find much of Nader's advice to Sanders to be wise and informative which shocks the hell out of me.

So Bernie has had no interest in responding to Nader, for whatever reasons..which is his prerogative
and Nader responds with an inappropriate letter as Bernie sets his sights on the WH.
Just bizarre...Nader may be losing it.
