10 Tough Truths From Harry Reid About The Kochs’ Lies, Propaganda and Radical Un-American Agenda

http://www.alternet.org/10-tough-truths-harry-reid-about-kochs-lies-propaganda-and-radical-un-american-agenda

1. Kochs’ Anti-Obamacare Ads Filled With Lies

“I’m confident that most of you, if not all of you have seen this little piece in the Detroit News [noting that a women featured in an anti-Obamacare TV ad will save $1,000 in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses in 2014], where the secretive Koch brothers are spending untold millions to rig the system to benefit the top one percent at the expense of the middle class. So this is further evidence of the shadowy campaign of distortion and deception. You know, I have no problem with the people appearing in these ads. Even though it’s interesting, it’s been proven that the—one of the ads they ran in Alaska was an actor and the same actor is appearing in the same ad basically around the country. People have a right to be actors and appear in ads if they are real people, but they don’t have the right to lie… that’s what they’ve been doing.” (Press Conference, 3/11/14)

2. Koch Ads Filled With False GOP Fantasies

“Despite all that good news, there are plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue, but they are being told all over America. The leukemia patient whose insurance policy was canceled and would die without her medication—Mr. [Senate] President, that is an ad being paid for by two billionaire brothers that is absolutely false; or the woman whose insurance policy went up $700 a month—ads paid for around America by the multibillionaire Koch brothers, and the ad is false. We heard about the evils of ObamaCare, about the lives it is ruining in the Republican stump speeches and in ads paid for by oil magnets, the Koch brothers. But those tales turned out to be just that—tales, stories made up from whole cloth, lies, distorted by the Republicans to grab headlines or make political advertisements.” (Floor Remarks, 2/26/14)

3. What Is Their Self-Described “Radical Agenda?”

“Remember, “radical agenda” is what they called themselves. They said their agenda was radical, and it is. Eliminating Social Security, going against the minimum wage increase and being against it, just – these two brothers don’t like government. What they would do if they had their way is get rid of the EPA [Environmental Protection Agency], and we know that; they tried to get formaldehyde not to be restricted. And we all know about formaldehyde or if we don’t, we should. It causes cancer. What they want is lower taxes for themselves, while the middle class is left on their own. And it means what is happening in our country, led by the Koch brothers: the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and the poor middle class is being squeezed out of existence.” (Press Conference, 3/11/14)

4. Kochs Make Billions From Dirty Industries

“These are the same brothers whose Koch Industries ranks near the top of the list of America’s worst toxic air polluters. Those are the same brothers whose company, according to a Bloomberg investigation, paid bribes and kickbacks to win contracts in Africa, India, and the Middle East. These are the same brothers who, according to the same report, used foreign subsidiaries to sell millions of dollars of equipment to Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism. Let’s make sure we understand that. I may not have said it quite right. These are the same brothers who, according to the same report, used foreign subsidiaries to sell millions of dollars of equipment to Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism. We all know that. Read the Huffington Post.
Read Politico.
Read Salon.
Then see if you don't think they have turned into semi-porno websites.
Read, if you have the stomach, what the conservatrash are writing in response to everything they consider "libtard".
Where is the backbone of the Democratic Party?
Why hasn't it reacted in kind to the fascist "tea party"?
Why hasn't it taken on the POWER of the Christian Conservatives and their financiers using tax-exempt status of Christian churches to get around tax laws and rules regarding financing politics?
Are Democrats who consider themselves Christians essentially exactly like the fascist Republican/Christians?

--Is there ANY difference between the two parties?
Why are Democrats so afraid of Republicans?

Just think back to the invasion of Iraq and the emptying of the U.S. Treasury to invade a country on false pretenses and for no national security benefit. If you think a Democrat would have done that, you are drinking some powerful kool-aid. And imperfect or not, no Republican would have even made an effort to lower health care costs for the average American.

The public needs to know that these rich bastards are buying the government. Those two are screwing the average American and most people don't even know it's happening. I think this issue is the most important one to talk about right now because it's at the root of the problems with our government and its inability to get anything at all accomplished. Democrats shouldn't be satisfied until the Koch brothers are vilified from now until election day. Forget Chris Christie and all the other little scandals, THIS is what we should focus on right now.

Davey-boy's THE richest dude in NYC, lives at 740 Park Ave., dahhh-ling. Married
to a woman half his age, of course. What a delight to see his name monumentalized
on the former NYC Opera Theatre in Lincoln as I stroll up Amsterdam Ave! Heard he
mingles with the liberal elite who are SCANDALIZED yet fascinated upon learning what he's all about
behind his sterile charm. "Oh me oh my," they exclaim before fainting. "Dracula has been admitted
to my salon! Whatever shall we do?"

Well, ok, so what if that song originated in the Truman era so far as I remember, but for me it applies to Reid as well. Detractors try to unman him with cries of 'Wimp!' but he's no wimpier than PBO. That soft voice is real but potentially misleading to idiots. Too many don't realize Harry was a Golden Gloves champ. Doesn't make any difference for his politics, but I happen to love both. I also happen to believe there's every chance he and President Obama play good cop/bad cop in public sometimes. Not deceptive... though it is why it's known as the art of politics. Perfectly legitimate tactic when used for the greater common good of the republic. Rahm Emmanuel was good at it too, if far less versatile because even as a general supporter I have trouble envisioning him in role of 'good cop'. Too much terrier in him. Or as I fondly like to say, including my own, a 'terrierist'.

Anyhow, I always cheer on anyone who's chewing on a Koch. BTW, I might've named my female smooth-coat JRT after Rahm except I couldn't devise a female version of his name.

These assholes won't be happy until they and their small circle of elite, like-minded friends own everything, including the government, and everyone. They don't just want to be rich, they want to be the richest amongst the richest. The 1% of the 1%. Damn anything or anyone who gets in their way. They don't care if kids are going hungry (even in America, 1 in 5 children are "food insecure&quot , if people have nowhere to live, or if vets (who were made that way because of the wars they support) kill themselves because of PTSD. They do not give a damn about the rest of us! The more people who realize this, the more democrats or maybe even liberals will be made.

We should all pay attention to who they support and where their money goes, even if the SCOTUS has made it more difficult to track. They're using their power to take this country over. And why use arms to gain power if you can just buy your way in? We can't let them win, they will ruin this country.
