Bill Gates agrees with me on lack of jobs and needing a new model for Cyber-era.

Gates words:
"Software substitution, whether it's for drivers or waiters or nurses … it's progressing. ... Technology over time will reduce demand for jobs, particularly at the lower end of skill set. ... 20 years from now, labor demand for lots of skill sets will be substantially lower. I don’t think people have that in their mental model."

The word is getting out and my solution of SocSec available at age 50 will span the void. It is not the only plan but one that can be turned on anytime. Other programs such as retraining, financial training and budget management will be needed.

1. It will have to be handled by law, not voluntarily

because we've seen over the last few years that the corporate mindset hires as few people as possible and works them to exhaustion while paying them as little as they can get away with, replacing them when exhaustion or illness slows them down.

2 people sharing a 40 hour a week job makes more sense for everybody but the workaholics.

It also makes sense to lower SS eligibility to the corporate expiration date of 55.

We'll have to get rid of most of our legislative bodies to accomplish any of this, making sure we elect reality based instead of ideologically based people.

2. There is a finite number of jobs at any time in history. Intelligent machines is only part of the

problem. The other parts are over-population, under-developed countries becoming developed enough to take jobs from developed countries. The past where a nation with 6-7% of the world population dominated the rest of the world industrially and economically is truly a thing of the past. Why should a young child in Vietnam expect to not have a job while a young child here in the US is sure to have that job? The situation is complex, no one in this country should expect to work for nothing, nor should anyone in any other country expect to work for nothing, ie, slave wages. Social Security at 50 won't solve the problem, it will just make life easier for those nearing 50 or above 50. Those considerably younger than 50 will face the very same dynamic that people today that are approaching 62 face, jobs vanishing with no equivalent jobs replacing them.

In my estimate the solution may be having large population countries like India and China focus exclusively on bringing their poor up to a higher standard of living. Those two countries improving internal living expenses would lift economies worldwide and result in a long economic boom. But once that boom starts to taper off, the world will face the age old problem, there is a finite number of jobs.
