Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI have been away all day and just now read that Fred Phelps has died. I always thought I'd dance
on his grave, then piss on it when I was done, but I find myself sitting here thinking that, yes, I am glad that the nasty hatemonger is no longer breathing the same oxygen that I do, but I am also hoping that the few of his kids who were able to get free of his clutches finally have some Peace, and closure, in their lives. The pure HELL that they were raised in, all in the name of GAWD, was a horrible, tragic part of their lives. Though the chapter ended when they escaped, I believe the book is now finally finished for them. I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time, surely won't be the last....
To those of them who still worshiped and followed him, I hope the brainwashing starts wearing off so you can rid yourself of all the hatred in your souls and finally start learning some Peace, Love, Understanding and, most importantly, ACCEPTANCE in your lives. Hatred is a product that destroys the vessel in which it is contained! Allow some Peace & Love into your hearts so it can start pushing that toxic hate out and allow yourselves to start healing from the inside and let your outside actions show it.
Peace,

Phelps may have been a "tortured soul", but he tortured way too many families in his hate-filled life for me to feel bad that he is no longer with us.
I have a personal stake in this, as those nutbags announced they were going to protest the funeral of a fallen Soldier in Cleveland, Tn. He was the son of a close personal good friend of mine. Their sons grew up together and were best friends. I told her to have the family contact the Patriot Guard Riders, which they did. The scumbags backed out at the last minute, saying they got a lot of letters of support from people in Cleveland and Bradley County, so they were going to concentrate on other things, when the fact is that they got a lot of letters saying they wouldn't be leaving here the same way they came. That's all I'm going to say on *that* subject.
Continue to Rest In Peace, Sgt. David Weir (K.I.A. 9-13-06 while serving in the U.S. Armys 101st Airborne Division in Iraq). You gave ALL!
Peace,
Ghost
