(2,282 posts)The elderly grocery bagger and a customer of the same age were agreeing that the rising cost of groceries was due to the high hourly wages of the workers. They were saying they were happy to make $2.00 an hour back in their day.
They have it so backwards. This is what we're up against in the battle for hearts and minds.

I just went shopping today, and even though I was watching my spending, I spent more than $100.

(13,986 posts)We eat simply, and pretty much "shop the walls", and it's still a lot of money.
Just got some chickens and are co-gardening with family this year. Healthier and cheaper.
