It at least is the war that everyone wants to forget or pretend never happened.

From my own experience, the sense of alienation and isolation that I feel is overwhelming at times. I'm sure the guys from the Korean War feel an even more exaggerated sense of those emotions. As a combat vet from a more recent war, I understand what these guys went through and feel.

I doubt this will be the case, but I sure hope that no future generations can say that they understand what I feel or went through. I can't imagine inflicting war on my children or grandchildren.
