We all need to remember the fight of people like Chavez, MLK, Susan B. Anthony,Vic Basile, Mary Dyckman, and so many others that have been fighting to make the U.S.A. even better.

Grapes, my first and most painful boycott. I remember Reagan eating grapes on TV as Governor mocking the Farm Workers.

That sometimes involved murder against those crossing picket lines. That would be very much unsupportable.

A statement like ...
"I support all union actions. I don't care what the union wants or what tactics they use."

does not exclude the extremes. People die from extremes all the time. They must be included.

In general the XL pipeline is supported by labor for the good paying jobs it will bring. BIG Ed used to be in that camp. He is now against the pipeline. I'm against the pipeline too.

It was hard to talk about it with other kids in school they just didn't understand. Doesn't everyone talk to their children ab out politics? I remember not being allowed to watch cartoons because my parents said they wanted me to watch the McCarthy trials - I was 4. Daddy was at work and Mommy was cooking dinner, so they decided that I needed to watch this. I still don't know why my older sister was not forced to do this, she was probably out playing.

it was like it was a secret or something. I kind of feel like that today - people are so lost in imaginary America, they miss real America and what is happening around them. Especially when you have facts and they have FOX
