Conveniently leaves out the part where the bank gets the house when the beneficiary dies,
unless surviving relatives pay the mortgage balance straightaway in ca$h.
The bank nearly always gets the house because the situation that necessitates
a reverse-mortgage in the 1st place (i.e. being cash-poor), also makes buying-out the remaining
mortgage balance un-doable for the family involved, usually.
A deceptive business like that is perfectly suited for
a sleazeball like Ted Cruz, or an actor like Fred Thompson.
I still think rat poison or electric bug-zappers would be
even more suitable products for Cruz to hawk.
