If you couldn't access gov't or public healthcare coverage and had to choose from private options?

(assuming you did not get and/or could not get health insurance through your employer)

I would choose a private healthcare plan through the Affordable Care Act Exchanges, conforming to those standards
1 (50%)
I would choose a private healthcare plan outside the Affordable Care Act Exchanges, even if it doesn't conform to ACA standards
0 (0%)
I would go without private healthcare coverage at all, even if I could afford it

I would need to research costs, doctors in each network, forumlary restrictions, etc.

It might be within or external to the ACA. Too many variable to know.

It's excellent. The coverage has nothing to do with where it is purchased. The ACA mandates coverage elements of private policies, as well as ACA provided and employer based.

What can be radically different is the provider network.

You options for complying or not complying, even if the respondent 'can afford it'

What about those who'd like to comply but can't afford it?

Or did I miss something?

Still you're leaving out the option for people who want access to ACA coverage but can't afford it

11. Now, this isn't one of your trap-polls where you do research on those who vote the "wrong" way

is it?

Like people have talked about:

And even you admitted:

and nevermind that my thread was about a poster who voted in my gungeon poll where nobody should have voted for the first option --and one of the few that did, had NOT A SINGLE DU POST.

so i asked.

and if someone takes wingnut position in my poll (though this poll doesn't have a wingnut position) i just might talk about it.

$952/mo SS don't go that far with a pre-existing condition.
If I didn't have VA I'd have been dead years ago.

All plans must meet ACA standards, whether or not they are purchased through healthcare.gov.

So the only benefit in going through healthcare.gov is if you qualify for a subsidy or if the plan offers the same coverage but is less expensive (which it's too soon to tell yet). It's pretty much been proven that the network is narrower.
