Governor Brownback's allies spent over $80,000 on television during the last few weeks telling Kansans that education is Sam Brownback's number one priority. But during the most important education debate of the session, the Governor's door was locked and the lights were off. Hundreds of Kansas school teachers spent the weekend at the Capitol fighting for Kansas kids, and left messages for him while he was out. Despite the Governor's silence, the rest of us are still at the Kansas State Capitol, fighting for a bill that cleanly restores funding to our classrooms without attacking public schoolteachers. 2. I don't think he is ever there

when stuff is going down. I have never seen him there when I was there except the time I took a friend there for a job and yanked the door out of his hands and crashed right into him. Long before the legislative session started, he was in jeans. Ick. He is never there when he sicks the Capitol police on you either. Be careful, they are pretty hair trigger at times. I don't think they can do too much or would do too much but they will sure grab you up. Usually he is better prepared for stuff like this, lol.
