Bwaaaaaaah hahahahaha-George Bush's paintings: this is the art of Forrest Gump

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/04/george-bush-paintings
<snip>
George W Bush has found that magic recipe for public redemption that eludes Tony Blair. Don't waste time on globetrotting missions and elder-statesman opinions that do nothing to appease people who see you as a liar and warmonger and think you should be arrested. Take up painting instead.

That gentle, civilised art can wipe away a surprising quantity of blood.

Since it became known that Bush had taken up painting as a hobby and had hired a personal artistic trainer to improve his style, his opinion poll ratings in America have improved, slightly. The comedy of a naive self-portrait of himself in the bath that got leaked on Twitter apparently helped humanise the man most responsible for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Americans do tend to be forgiving of their more controversial presidents. This generosity is surely born of national self-regard. If you see the presidency as peopled by monsters how can you love your country? So like Nixon before him, Dubya is getting reassessed, or at least repackaged, his martial presidency forgotten in America's cosy reception of his cute paintings, unveiled in a television interview with his own daughter.

<snip>
Not only has George Bush stunned the art world with his ability with a paint brush, it now appears the former US president is also a dab hand using internet search engines.

Art critics have pointed out that Bush’s 30 oil paintings of world leaders appear to be have been based upon casual searches of Google Images.

Rather than have his subjects sit for him or use printed photographs, Bush seems to have based his portraits on the first picture thrown up by the search engine.

Critic Greg Allen highlighted the trend in his blog, pointing out that many of the pictures were taken from the subject’s Wikipedia entry. Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, Tony Blair and John Howard were among those to get the Google Image treatment.

I am not among the forgiving - I do not forgive lying war criminals

...he never had any brains to start with, therefore, he can't be rehabilitated to something he never had from the beginning. Being a rich daddy's spoiled rotten boy is all he ever was, no talent, no intellect... which is why he was selected (in every sense of the word) by daddy's buddies to "sit" in the seat that darth could never be elected to. The only skill he had/has is half-assed mansplaining that he's "the decider".

Never underestimate the PR guys. If the US did advanced manufacturing as well as we do propaganda, Germany and China would be buying solar cells from us.
