degrade, humiliate, submit, abuse, control, dominate the woman.

i can not say that religion has a greater hold in the u.s. than porn. can you? and both are doing the same.

the answer for the non religious and confirmation for the religious is evo psych that does the same that religion does. no difference. all ugly.

it is a mans issue, not a religion or party issue. is our point. and we women are not gonna pretend otherwise, or we are not doing our job. we would be slacking. or coddling cause others do not want to hear it especially on this board.

down here, being "born again" is cool. Hell, you can't watch a football game without 30 instances of people praising god for some catch they made. Sorry, drifted there. I have told this story before, but will tell it again. About 5 or 6 years ago I took a US Government course at the local community college. The class was pretty equally split male/female. Me and another dude were old timers, around 40. After we got through the Roe v Wade decision, the professor asked how many supported it. Me and the other old guy were the only ones. I was floored. Not one young woman in that class supported her right to make a medical decision with her doctor in privacy? One did start to speak up about god's word, but she got shut down pretty quick. The professor let her know this was a classroom and not church.

and it really shocked me. My grandmother's both entered the work force during WWII, and proved they could do any job a man could do. After the war, they worked along side their husbands until the day they died. They were strong women who took no one's crap, yet always made me feel loved. My mother was the same type of woman. She was strong, and always found a way to help those who needed it. The submissive woman is something I do not understand. The thought of my wife subjegating herself to me has zero appeal. Oh, we fight and fuss sometimes, but I wouldn't want a Stepford wife. We are equals, and all good partnerships should be that way.

Not in the slightest bit surprising. Testosterone poisoned over-confident immature morons who think the world owes them something just because they happen to own a penis. This demographic has always been with us; now they just have something new to call themselves. The good news is that at least some of them will grow up.

hormone estrogen. is. i would like the excuse of estrogen, with everything i do as a woman. that ole estrogen. all the friggin's time.

sigh...

you post is right on. i agree withyou. i appreciate you. but i am really tired of the god like status of testosterone. we as a society has elevated that hormone to such fuggin awesome, it has an entity of its own. and this.... would be the first step to addressing these immature little shits. they really are not all that. yet... we feed right into the glory of testosterone.... in all its awesomeness.

I'm surprised the DU has this many stoned, young, white, male, right-wing, non-religious, paranoid, self-entitled assholes.

if they don't want people to think they are then they should probably stop posting MRA talking points and popping up in threads on feminist issues to whine "but what about the men"? (Because obviously the one to five percent of rape allegations that are false is more important than the 25 percent of women who are raped in their lifetimes, and the fact that David Beckham was in a Calvin Klein ad means that sexual objectification affects men just as much as women, apparently. )

while the feminists and MRAs bicker black women and black men are suffering. This is almost as tragic as a Greek play.

76. I did an internet search, but it didn't turn up much useful.

Searching "feminist demographics" mainly yields explicitly anti-feminist sites and statistics on the percentage of women who identify as feminists.

Since many people first really embrace feminism in college and because college is more affordable for middle class people (who are more likely to be white) than lower class people, it's not entirely inconceivable that feminists are disproportionately white, though I doubt it would be to the degree we see with MRAs.

i wouldnt argue that the majority are probably white. for the reason you state. but, i do not like to say something factual, when i do not know. how stupid is that, lol. it may well be. it makes sense. but, my point was certainly how you conclude. " I doubt it would be to the degree we see with MRAs." , which is the absurdity harmony was suggesting.

and i know in the early times it has been alomost exclusively white. but, feminism got a slap in the face and a wake up call in the 60;s and 70's this was the case and i think women have come a long way to be inclusive. today i think feminism and voice is more universal that in the apst, by a long shot

thanks for the efforts though.

Look at some of the subject headings on this Men's Rights Reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/?count=26&before=t3_22wpla

As for the racial demographic, that was my sense all along. Men of color experience real discrimination. They don't need to invent angst about how oppressed they are by women.

I find it very telling.

Because a majority of MRA's are made up of a certain demographic, it is not a logical conclusion to assume most of that demographic are MRA's.

It is in fact... Very poor logic.
