The Michele Bachmann April Madness Bracket

It looks like there are 2 Democrats running against 4 Republicans in primaries for alien life-form and Congressperson Michele Bachmann's 6th District seat.

One of the Dems, Jim Read, seems to have a sense of humor. He's running an "April Madness Bracket" - a vote-driven online bracket to select Bachmann's most preposterous statement.

Thought it might be fun to share it on this Sunday afternoon. But not sure how this is being received in his district, where he probably has to win over a lot of conservatives to even stand a chance.

Is this the right approach or should he be playing the straight-faced game?

You can find it here: http://www.jimreadforcongress.com/april-madness

... a horrifying trip.

I don't know the Democrats running for Bachmann's office but it would make me smile if one of them won. It might be a fitting farewell to Michele.

I hope he wins. He is taking a wonderful approach -- humor plus making folk remember their former darling. Anyone know how he is doing? Please repost as this moved along. Like it lots.

seems completely appropriate. It's not like you can formally analyze Bachmann without going completely insane yourself.

"I don't know where they're going to get all this money because we're running out of rich people in this country." I voted for that Bachman classic. I hope she's defeated. She's a tool.

It's got to be one the dumbest things every said and not just on one level but on several.

I was going to explain that statement but it's just too frustrating. And to think she actually had a strong start in the last presidential primaries. Urgh.

1. We're running out of rich people because 85 humans have more money than the rest of the humans on Earth combined;

2. The money collected in taxes is coming more from the poor;

3. She supports taxing the poor over the rich because they are job creators;

4. Although job creators are generally small business owners who are struggling and could by no means be called rich...

This is exhausting.

He was the Democrat challenger against Bachmann at the time.

I even went to the event in which both Bill Clinton and Al Franken were lending Graves their support. I shook Bill's hand and had front-row seats during the event.
