What was that Bundy-deal that the Sheriff brokered?

Does Bundy get to defy a court order and keep his cattle?

Does Bundy get to defy a court order and continue to let them graze on federal land?

Does Bundy get to defy the law and be exempt from fees via threat of lethal force?

Will the Sheriff go by Bundy's demand and take away the guns of people Bundy doesn't like?

You wanted maybe another Waco? There are a lot of sublethal alternatives open here. Patience, my good fellow. This is not over. BLM is playing it smart, and I'm glad they aren't blowing shit up.

Is this just how you operate? You attribute a bunch of stuff to people they neither say nor think in order to bask in your own (imaginary) superiority for not thinking the things YOU IMAGINE other people think?

rather than letting it all blow up á la Waco, which is the correct move, and that the OP was upset by the gov't letting Bundy "off the hook," so to speak, rather than pursuing a violent outcome.

If I was wrong in interpreting his post, then I was wrong.

Although, I'm concerned if there are no consequences this will be commonplace and there will be bloodshed anyway.

Was it total capitulation? Do we get our money? Just wondering.

Feds to pursue effort to end dispute with rancher

By MARTIN GRIFFITH
Associated Press

A day after blinking in a showdown on the range, federal land managers pledged to pursue efforts to resolve a conflict with a southern Nevada rancher who has refused to pay grazing fees for 20 years.

Bureau of Land Management spokesman Craig Leff said the agency would continue to try to resolve the matter involving rancher Cliven Bundy "administratively and judicially." Bundy owes more than $1 million in grazing fees, according to the bureau.

Las Vegas Police Lt. Dan Zehnder told The Associated Press that Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie was able to negotiate a resolution after talking with Bundy.

But Leff stressed that the bureau did not take part in the negotiations.

"The BLM and National Park Service did not cut any deal and negotiate anything," he said. "There was no deal we made."

IT gives me hope that justice may be served, but the armed assholes need to be held responsible for their actions.
