Armed anti-government activists have forced federal authorities to stop their seizure of cattle that were illegally grazing on federal land in Nevada.

“Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of the public,” Bureau of Land Management Director Neil Kornze said, according to ABC News.

Self-described militias had come to protest the government action against Cliven Bundy, a cattle rancher who is feuding with BLM over his use of federal land.

1. I’m not sure everyone understands what happen the other day.

A large group of “protesters”, some armed , some not, were marching toward the BLM armed officers near the cattle holding pens. BLM broadcasted that if they continued to advance they would be shot. The “protesters” continued to advance up to the metal fence, just yards away from BLM officer and a SWAT team. The “protesters” demanded the cattle be release and they were.

BLM represents the US GOVERNMENT, they had legal authority to enforce a judges orders. BLM let a group of “protesters” control the situation. If a government agent can not enforce a judges order, then who can?

Although I do not wish for conflict, when do we stop theses type of “protesters”. A government agent can not allow protesters to dictate when they will act and how. We can not allow a group to defy the law and do as they please. Society has rules that we all must obey, even if we disagree. I fear this “victory” by the group will spread to other groups and then we will have people demanding all kinds of actions or refusing to obey lawful orders by a government agent.
