If it was your child

If it was your child trapped in a capsized ferry, would you shrug your shoulders and say, "They have to be doing all they can do"? This seems to be the response I am getting in discussions with fellow office workers. As I write this there are likely many children trapped in relatively shallow water in that boat. I realize the currents are strong and that the water is cold, but if there is the remotest of chances that they are some huddled in groups and alive we should move heaven and earth to get to them, and QUICKLY! Think outside the box!!! I am hearing the argument, "well it can't be raised or pulled, it would likely break apart", so what is the fZ*&%^king alternative? I am no expert but when I saw the first images of that ferry sinking, it was obvious to me that the way it sunk many people could survive under there, and likely for some time, doesn't take a rocket scientist. Discussions are few on this (zero in here), why is that? imo we need as many as possible thinking outside the box on this, not silence??

In that they have to think outside the box and get some more divers in there.

That said, unless someone has managed to stay dry, chances are they are not alive anymore...even if there were air pockets, hypothermia would've long since taken them, sadly. But the chance that anyone in there may be alive means they should try harder, imo.
