Dad kills son to play video games

A Citrus County, Florida father is charged with killing his one-year-old son so he could keep playing video games.

The Sheriff’s Office says Cody Eugene Wygant, 24, is facing charges of 3rd degree murder and willful child neglect.

Daymeon Wygant, 1, was taken to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center on Thursday morning, where he was pronounced dead.

The hospital contacted authorities, who went to the man’s home in Homosassa.

"Wygant has an extensive criminal history in California, from trespassing to rape, but no previous arrests in Citrus County." He's only 24, obviously he didn't get much time for any rape conviction.

That poor little baby. .

I don't see that post as placing blame on the mother...

I don't see it as a super constructive post but if anything the poster is insulting the man.

I clearly don't see what you see.

You expressed your opinion, and I expressed my opinion about your opinion.

I didn't alert on your post, and I certainly never implied that you need to be silent.

reading stories like this scare me in terms of, I'm sometimes afraid of my feelings about douchebags like this father, and how I would behave if I had been the one who first responded.

I'm hard pressed to find any punishment too severe for people who hurt children like that.
