A little levity - Crimean Prose-cute-tor goes viral

Crimean Prose-cute-tor goes viral
http://nsnbc.me/2014/04/19/crimean-prose-cute-tor-goes-viral/

nsnbc : A music video with Crimean prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya has hit more then 3,7 million views. Even Yaz and Co in Kiev have put Nasha on their “most wanted” list, and people tend to agree that Poklonskaya deserves the title Prose-cute-tor of Crimea.

Enjoykin mixed the prosecuties official speech and other videos, making it appear as if Poklonskaya was singing “Power Blood. Nya-myash. Blood.Power. Crimea is ours”.

Poklonskaya made an emotional speech on the day of the coup d’ état in Kiev on February 21. A short clip of a video recording made the round on the internet since March. The viral video, however, is the first with music, mixed by an “anonymous” internet DJ known under the name “Enjoykin”. As a cultural phenomenon, the music is rather simplistic, borderline naive, but

Japan: Crimean attorney general inspires anime fan art

In Japan, people watching events unfolding in Crimea appear to have become captivated by the region's newly-appointed attorney general.

Clips of a press conference with Natalia Poklonskaya have been shared widely on Japanese platforms, says website Rocketnews24. She was appointed to the post on 11 March and formerly served as a senior prosecutor for the city of Simferopol.

In particular, one video in which Poklonskaya listens to a reporter's question has been viewed nearly 300,000 times since it was
" target="_blank">posted to a Japanese YouTube channel. There is no translation of her answer. Some people appear to be so taken with the seemingly charming prosecutor, they are turning out manga images and

Make that over 700,000 times now.

But this is what I admire about her, her courage

Poklonskaya took the job, which many of her male colleagues feared to accept, just days before Crimea’s referendum on independence from Ukraine, stunning the world not only with her courage, but her beauty as well.

“In the 12 years I’ve spent working in Prosecutor General’s office, I’ve been dealing with organized crime and put many criminals in prison,” Poklonskaya said. “My looks have never been an obstacle – I hope they deceive my enemies.”

During her first press conference on the new position, the 34-year-old blonde didn’t hesitate to denounce the coup-imposed government in Kiev.

“The constitution says that the only power in Ukraine – and I repeat – the only power in Ukraine is its people,” she said at the time.

The video with her speech garnered hundreds of thousands of views on the internet in just a few days, with Poklonskaya’s big blue eyes and infant-like looks turning her into a Japanese anime art sensation.

Poklonskaya graduated from the Yevpatoria branch of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.[4] In 2011 in Simferopol, she acted as the state prosecutor in the high profile trial of Ruvim Aronov, a former deputy of the Supreme Council of Crimea being charged with membership of an armed gang named Bashmaki (lit. "The Boots&quot and organization of murders committed with extreme cruelty.[5][6] In the same year, she was appointed the inter-district environmental prosecutor of Simferopol.[4][7][8] Following that, she was transferred to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office in Kiev, where she served as a senior prosecutor.[4][9]

On 25 February 2014, Poklonskaya handed in her resignation, stating that she was "ashamed to live in the country where bandits were allowed to walk the street freely" (a reference to radical Euromaidan activists). The resignation was not accepted. Instead, she was given a vacation and left Kiev for Crimea where her parents lived.[4] In Simferopol, Poklonskaya offered her help to the Crimean government.[10]

She was appointed Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on 11 March 2014.[11][12] Poklonskaya was appointed to the position by Sergei Aksyonov after the previous prosecutor had remained loyal to the government in Kiev; the position had also been reportedly rejected by four other men before Poklonskaya accepted.[6] She had previously voiced criticism of the opposition protests in Ukraine and described the change of government in Kiev as an anti-constitutional coup.[9][13] In response, the Ukrainian government launched a criminal case against her and stripped her of the civil service rank of "counsellor of justice".[9][13] On 26 March 2014, Poklonskaya was listed as a wanted criminal on the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.[14] On 27 March 2014, she was promoted to the rank of Senior Counsellor of Justice.[15]

days. She is correct, the 'coup' was anti-Constitutional and it is amazing that ANYONE claiming to support democracy in that that country or anywhere, actually has the gall to support what happened there when all they had to do was wait a few months to let the Democratic Process deal with the situation. Instead they got many people killed, they never gave the people of Ukraine a chance to weigh in, and now they are revealing themselves as the thugs we saw in Kiev,, beating up police. Shame on OUR Government, who remained silent when Corporate Robo Cops brutally attacked our own Peaceful Protesters, but chose to SUPPORT those beating up Police in Ukraine.

Good for her, she sounds like a wonderful future leader for that country.

6. Are you claiming that in a democracy which has a Constitution, the way to oust a government

is to sign on with Right Wing thugs, armed, violent, homophobic, antisemitic and back them as they brutalize the country's police who are only doing their jobs?

Here's how to decide if what happened there was something we should be supporting. Would YOU have supported OWS arming themselves and beating up the Robo Cops?

I judge these things this way. If it is something we would be outraged by in the US, even when Bush was occupying the WH I would NEVER have supported a coup led by Neo-Nazis, if it is not good enough for this Democracy, it is not good enough for ANYONE ELSE.

Now we have those thugs running things. And as expected by anyone with a brain cell working, they are acting as expected. Having NOT given the 46 Million Ukrainians a chance to vote, choosing a coup instead, they are 'shocked' that the people are not accepting them as legitimate. So they are of the opinion that they can FORCE 'compliance' to their unelected 'legitimacy'. They have sent out the MILITARY to 'crush' to use their own word, any dissent. They started with orders that the language used by majorities there, would be banned. That would be like this government banning Spanish eg. That caused so much outrage, they had back away from it.

Now that they have already killed three Ukrainian protesters, they have obviously been advised to draw back the military from 'operations' especially since the protesters refused to observe their authoritarian 'deadline' and no doubt OUR Govt saw the disaster about to unfold, where tanks and planes and guns were used to kill THEIR OWN PEOPLE, the people THEY claim to represent, someone with a wiser head persuaded them to stop killing Ukrainians who only want to have a say in their own country.

What a tragedy, what a disaster and WHY are WE in the middle of it, and apparently aligned with some of the worst thugs in that region of the world.

Then we had the vicious dirty trick, now exposed as such, against Jews in the country. Truly cruel, coming from OUR 'allies'. Thankfully Jews are relieved that it was a LIE, a cruel trick. So people who initially were leaning towards the Europeans, are now having second thoughts.

When you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas. This is a tragedy of unbelievable proportions when all anyone had to do was wait a few months to let the democratic process play out. But they knew they would lose such an election as we are now learning, so they chose the coup instead. Some entity or entities are in a big hurry to secure control of that country's assets.

We are not looking good at all in this. And why are we even there in the middle of something that is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS?

She's a single mother. I hope she has enough security because the criminals she prosecuted don't seem to have any limits but they have a lot of connections.

I just googled around looking for more details on that. Wow, she is tough! I hope she stays safe because Crimea is where the criminals she put away have their gangs.

Quite interesting. She was working in the AG office in Kyiv and felt she needed to resign when the current administration took over.
