A BNP Paribas Banker, His Wife, And His Nephew Were Fatally Shot Outside Their Home

A Belgium-based BNP Paribas banker, his wife, and a nephew were shot dead outside their home in Visé late Friday night, Belgian newspaper La Libre reports, citing police sources via Google translate.

Benoît Philippens, 37, who was a director of BNP Paribas Fortis in the Liège area, was fatally shot in the head and stomach. His nephew, a 9-year-old boy named Esteban, was also killed. The banker's wife, Carol Haid, 37, who's the boy's aunt and godmother, died from three gunshot wounds in her back.

Did he deny someone a loan?

TPB certainly have been busy terminating unwanted employees. They aren't even staging suicides anymore.

BNP Paribas SA (BNP), Bank of America Corp. and three other banks were added to a lawsuit by investors now accusing a dozen institutions of rigging prices in the $5 trillion-a-day foreign-exchange currency market.

The investors, which include hedge funds and public pension funds, claim the banks’ top currency traders used closed-network chat rooms with names such as “The Cartel,” “The Bandits’ Club” and “The Mafia” to exchange confidential client information and manipulate the rates used for determining foreign exchange prices.

some fraud at the bank or anger at the bank from someone outside it is not a surprise that we have now started shooting.

Getting creepy with how many of these investment bankers are dying.

Anyone else immediately think of the rash of banker "suicides" in the past year?

to stay on the ground for his health. Apparently, that didn't work.

Come on!

If people can put this together, surely LEO can, too, if they wanted to do so. I don't like banksters any more than the next person, but his death is fishy as hell and needs to be investigated as a murder.
