When they pass these laws, it's not just old, Middle Aged white dudes trying remain relevant that will be able to carry these weapons around.

For the "family values" party, they sure don't have many values I find appealing for my family. Do they even understand how far off the reservation they are living? It's rather rhetorical of a question; they have insulated themselves in a bubble and really can't see how crazy and nutty they've become.

it allows carry only in the unsecured areas of the airport. For instance, if I am carrying, and I drop someone off at the departures curb, without this law, I'd be breaking the law if I have a gun on my person.

This brings Georgia's laws into perfect parity with the laws of Washington state.

(Also, 9/11 involved box cutters, not firearms, in case you were wondering.)

There's just no reason to running around with weapons unless u are up to no good. The one person I know of that has a concealed weapons permit, does so because his job involves illegal activities... And this is thru hearsay... Never have seen it. So, if u aren't a drug dealer, WTF do u need a weapon at church or an airport or a school for? U just don't!

is about 20%. (Households with firearms.)

I have had occasion to be out and about, carrying a firearm, and get a call from someone to come pick them up at the airport. Without that law here in Washington, my options would be;

1. Return home, lock up gun, proceed to airport.
2. Park outside the airport and make the person walk to me.
3. Risk getting caught committing a felony.
4. Refuse to pick the person up.

It's stupid. There is no reason to prohibit the carry of a firearm anywhere on the property of an airport OUTSIDE the secured areas of the airport, that doesn't apply to every square inch of the planet.

For those of us with carry permits, we may have occasion to pass through the various areas you cited. I'm an atheist, so I don't go to church, but if I did, I might wish to carry to and from the church. Without this law, I would then have to leave the gun in my car. Ask the nation's current Drug Czar how that works out, leaving guns in cars. (Hint: some scumbag has former Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske's gun.)

This might catch you by surprise, but most drug dealers don't carry guns, because getting caught is an automatic sentence multiplier with mandatory minimums, usually in the decadal range.

Having, carrying firearms does not disqualify me or others, as Progressives, Democrats, etc.

I have since moved. There was a woman stabbed and raped a few blocks from my home a month ago, but that was an aberration. Mostly due to the employer, having only one person on at close, requiring employees to park in the alley behind the store. Stupid with a side helping of reckless endangerment for the employees.

Most of the time I do not carry at all. Certainly not to work as my employer does not allow weapons, of any sort for any reason, and I accept that. And I do not leave firearms in my car unattended.

About the only time I carry anymore is when I am out and about in the woods, where there are in fact, predators and not even any cell coverage. I don't think that unreasonable. Though, I could probably get by with just some bear spray, to be honest.
