George Clooney storms out of heated dinner after Steve Wynn calls President Barack Obama an 'a--hole

"I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said, 'Your friend is an a--hole,'" he continued. "At that point I told Steve that HE was an a--hole and I wasn't going to sit at his table while he was being such a jacka--. And I walked out."

Steve Wynn *IS* a jackass - an aged jackass with frizzy, excessively-dyed corrosion-colored hair and a doofus fake-tooth smile, who thinks only of money and acquisition.

However, I do love George Clooney. That man has got it all, heart, soul, intelligence, and beauty.

It's just a fact. It's now part of our history. People remember good things, bad things, and especially ugly things. One person is responsible for that ugly comment. Many people called him on it and he responded by doubling down. If you want to forget about it, that's fine, but many of us will always associate those comments with that user name. Threads like this will always trigger that association for some of us.

You can dye your hair gray, or dye where you have just enough gray. I don't assume because of those two facts.

Sci-fi and hopeful scientists (hopeful of getting rich by inventing some fountain of youth drug of treatment) notwithstanding, you can't change those two. Life will always tell everyone, "F you!" in the end.

Steve Wynn's wife must use the same plastic surgeon. She's also beginning to get that stretched skin/fake cheek implant look from the movie Brazil, and (like him) her porcelain-stainless steel teeth have been fired at such a high temperature that their whiteness is visible from the next county over. lol

We've called them "flippers" for years. They are huge on the pageant circuit in the South. Personally, I prefer natural teeth or natural teeth than have been straightened through orthodontia.

...That moment of buffoonery plunged the value by $90mil, and that guy's calling someone else an asshole? I must not be reading that right.

As a matter of fact, according to Time Magazine, Steve Wynn is among the world's top ten assholes of all time:

I have never even heard of him. George Clooney and President Obama are known on sight and by name in most of the world.

Wynn? Who????

Maybe that doesn't mean much. Nobody knows who I am, either. If one of my friends or acquaintances had called the President names, I may have reacted like Clooney did. At the very least, I would have defended the President.

Pretty sure they all offer 'vegan menus' ... but that's not what I think of when I think 'entirely vegan' ...

That'd be a HELL of a stretch for an entire Vegas hotel, to not offer any meat?

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/mar/04/travel/la-tr-lasvegans-20120304

BTW, going vegan is probably the exactly ONE 'good' thing Steve Wynn has done in his entire life ...

Oh, yeah.

Clooney is the rich guy who is famous for, among other things, his acting, directing and producing talents, his humor, the great company he keeps, etc.

Obama is the rich guy who is famous for, among other things, his being President of the United States.

Wynn is the rich guy who obsesses over online gambling.

That's about the most interesting thing in this story about how two rich people had an argument about the merits of a politician. I'm sure it's very important and totally newsworthy, their argument at some drinking party, because they're rich and also celebrities. But jacka--? Would that have merited the faux-censorship even a hundred years ago? Not that it matters very much - Daily News and all, a rag exceeded as pure shit only by its sister tabloid in the same city, but really?!

I guess it's a matter of politeness with tabloids, rags, TV, movies, and on DU when people use asterisks and so on. It's not that people are such goody-two-shoes. I'm not. It's that you don't want people to pass out from the expletives (if they're that delicate), though why someone would be swooning if someone is dropping the F bomb, is beyond me.

However, about the Daily News, yup, it's shit, no doubt, but it does have real news compared with The Star and The Enquirer, which have real news about 1% of the time or less, or if ever. Sure, The Daily News is rude, but that's the way it's always been.

On the other hand, there's the respected and respectable NY Times, which will print any lies but never gets a bad rap, as they did during the Iraq War for over a year, printing BS and unconfirmed lies which the public believed because, HEY, The respectable New York Times wouldn't lie for over a year WOULD IT? And people still think of The New York Times as respectable!

So there. Whom are you going to believe?

It's not only rich old men that are looking monstrous, either.

Rich old women too. Those who get their flesh lifted or struggle to maintain a 15 year old kid "growth spurt" anorexia look. All end up looking as scary as a horror film. Like the chicken tendons and ligaments on Madonna's 5-hour-exercise-per-day arms, and Melanie Griffith's sadly deformed face. SUCH beautiful women who instead of growing beautifully older, instead transform themselves into ugly clowns by desperately seeking the Fountain of Youth.

And for this they pay hundreds of thousands and more!!!!
