Florida congressman Alan Grayson accuses wife of bigamy

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A Florida congressman is accusing his wife of bigamy in divorce papers.

U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson said in papers filed last week that his wife of almost 24 years, Lolita, was married to another man at the time she married the congressman in 1990.

Grayson says he was unaware that his wife was still married when they wed.

The Democrat from the Orlando area says his wife secretly divorced her other husband in 1994.

Though certain aspects are recorded in public records, airing them out isn't in the public interest. Alan Grayson isn't my Congressman, though I wish he was. I have no interest in his personal life (a rather weird form of voyerism), as long as he hasn't engaged in criminal or corrupt behavior. So far, there is no evidence he has... and I would rank this as a non-story.

1 - They run on a holier than thou platform, saying they are strong on families and marriage. Basically, any politician that espouses religion as one of their selling points.
2 - It is absolutely egregious, like how John Edwards cheated on a wife suffering cancer, same as Gingrich.
3 - It is directly related to not doing their job. That Carolina politician who disappeared while supposedly on a hike, but was in another country instead.

Other than that, I tend to be pretty forgiving as long as they do their jobs.
