Random Rants: Fox News, Racism, Etc.
Why is it every time I stop by Fox News during Megyn Kelly's show on Fox News I feel like some middle school mean girl is lecturing me on why I shouldn't like Ashley from home room because she stuffs her bra and she thinks she's all that.
The offensive thing that stood out to me in Sterling's comments was the notion that he gives his players food, cars, houses, etc. I believe this also pissed off the players. These guys aren't charity cases. Some may have started out poor but they earn their money. What's the context? White people like himself earn their money but Black people don't? When White people get rich it was by the sweat of their brow and the perseverance of their spirit but when a Blacks get rich they were some welfare case that got lucky? The league like all sports suffer from the owners treating players like game pieces to be traded. But to add to the mix the element of blatant racism and the history of slavery in this country it is just beyond unacceptable. The players were going to shut down the NBA. Good for them!
I heard on right wing radio the libertarian turbo idiot Larry Elder making excuses for Sterling and how he's the real victim here because he's going to lose his team. He couldn't seem to wrap his brain around the notion that sometimes the rich guy doesn't always win. It really offended him. I don't know who's worse. Republicans or Libertarians.
Fox News is a joke. Why does the White House even give them press passes? Why do so called legitimate news organizations not call them out on their BS? If I was the White House I would tell Fox, "You know what.....you want a press pass you go back to your so-called news station and put some pants on your female on air "talent". Do that and come back and then we'll have a little talk about your respect for the office of the President."
Okay rant over. I had to get that off my chest.
