LAS VEGAS - Sons and sisters of Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher who has been resisting efforts by federal agents to seize his cattle grazing without permits on public land, filed police complaints with the local sheriff's office on Friday accusing the agents of assault ... In the police complaint on Friday, two younger sisters of Bundy and three of his sons accuse the federal agents of using a stun gun and of throwing one of the sisters to the ground. They also say that Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie should have intervened ... "Our peaceful community has been shaken," Ammon Bundy said, outlining his version of the altercations between protesters and federal agents. In video footage, he can be seen showing wounds that he claims came from a stun gun fired by federal agents ...... Ammon Bundy, Cliven Bundy's son, read from a three-page statement in front of the police headquarters to about 20 supporters and a nearly equal number of media. He criticized Metro for not standing up for the family's rights in its long-running battle with the BLM over cattle grazing rights on public land. "Our innocence has left us," Ammon Bundy said ... Their complaints, said family friend Myron Hughes, 78, who was raised in Mesquite, are based on the feeling that the sheriff was not taking care of the situation and telling the BLM to pull back. (5,420 posts)so they can be investigated for ALL kinds of things. Taxes, welfare abuse, illegally stopping people for driving on their own roads while brandishing threatening weapons. I mean if you can make this trip and stand out in the sun for hours and sleep on the ground for weeks, you may have more trouble with your disability claim when you get home. Just saying.
