Apparently they make money "flipping" houses, but they are just like their Dad, Flip Benham, a vicious homophobe, rabble-rouser, religious bigot and "pro-life" terrorist.

(45,319 posts)Are they really paying people huge salaries to overlook such obvious things? Or do they expect to be the new Duck Dynasty folks?
I am going to have a hard time watching their shows in the future and sadly those on Travel Channel which they own. I have noticed certain underlying issues with their world view and now I'm simply going to assume that all of their on air talent and executives are comfortable with or are hate mongers because that is a choice I can make in the marketplace. Bourdain's on CNN and Steves is on PBS and they are travel television in and of themselves, the 'Travel Channel and HGTV' are redundant and unneeded programming.

HGTV was probably trying to sneak this one under the radar and got sniffed out...

(18,585 posts)HGTV was featuring LGBT couples on their shows long before it became 'cool' to do so. They didn't make a big deal out of it, either, it was just, "Steve and Jake are a couple of newlyweds currently living in Jake's 900sq ft loft, looking to buy their first house together..", etc.
