THE Queen is advertising for a “polite and welcoming team player” to work as a trainee butler carrying tea, coffee and newspapers efficiently at Buckingham Palace.

......

Based at Buckingham Palace and reporting to the Sergeant Footman, the butler would also work three months of the year at other Royal residences such as Windsor Castle and would have direct contact with members of the Royal Family.

They would be expected to be good at keeping secrets and to work 45 hours a week, fulfilling the daily needs of Britain’s most important family.

“With a love of hospitality and a desire to work to the highest standards, you will join our highly experienced and professional team and follow our industry renowned training programme,” the job advert boasts.
