They're Talking About The U.S. Going In And Rescuing These Nigerian Girls - Precarious As I See It..

If we send in a seals team or somehow try to free these girls and there winds up being a bloodbath and some or all of the girls get killed or any of the team get killed in the process - just think of how the Repubs will pick up on that. If they think Benghazi was problematic for the President - just think about an operation like this.

We were lucky that the Bin Laden raid went as well as it did. These guys that have these girls will know we're coming. God knows what they will do.

As I see it this is a lose-lose proposition for the President. If he doesn't do something he'll be criticized and if he does do something and it runs into problems he'll be criticized. The only way it comes out good for him is if a raid to free these girls is successful - and what are the chances that it comes off flawless like the Bin Laden raid - especially because these terrorists won't be surprised - they'll be ready for it.

I still say - and I'm not being funny here - these guys want to sell these girls in the market. That was the quote I read from their leader. I say - threat this like a business deal. Not as a terrorist negotiation. Tell this group we want to buy these girls and offer them a crapload of money. Maybe have a worldwide telethon to raise money to buy the girls. Treat it like a business transaction.

We buy the girls - free them. After we know the girls are safe - then go in and blow these guys to kingdom come.

And you think that there won't be any collateral damage in a large assault?

We took out OBL, didn't we?

This will obviously be more complicated. We have to have the girls secure first. But it can be done. If they are hiding out, all the better, because we won't have the caution with innocents in the same place.

I think if we managed it with Osama, we can get this bad guy and his band of thugs...

was WWII. Clearly, we don't have the fortitude to do that any more, so we'd best just leave it alone.

We've offered equipment and expertise, and that's not from the military but from the FBI.

We don't have the option to blow "these guys" to kingdom come. They're scattered and hidden.

That would lead to and encourage an explosion of such tactics.

Look at what the Somali pirates have accomplished, they have gotten paid off many times over the years and it just encouraged the tactic.
