For our teachers--a resource.

http://www.operationrespect.org/curricula/index.php

Last night we were fortunate to get to watch a performance by Peter Yarrow at a nearby venue. He has ever been a thoughtful and caring and politically conscious person. He spoke of some of his activism and at length on this foundation to promote a consciousness of empapthy and kindness in our angry and selfish people. He asked that teachers use it. It is free to all educators. You may already know about this effort but I am passing it on and hope others do as well.

If he comes to your area, go to listen to his performance. It is an evening well spent.

... teachers don't have the time or energy for this kind of thing anymore.

It is tragic. But it is a different era entirely.

And don't get mad at me. Get mad at Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Walmart.
